FinanciallyHers Recognition Event 2011

We held our third annual FinanciallyHers Day on Saturday, April 30th  2011 at Community College of Philadelphia.  We had eighty attendees, including FinanciallyHers members, guests, partners, funders, and CLARIFI staff. Several members of FinanciallyHers shared their stories and many more were honored for their achievements in the program including completing 10 hours or more of financial education in the past year.

Renee Amoore, the keynote speaker, entertained and enlightened the audience with personal and business stories that helped shape her career and her success. Mini-educational workshops were facilitated by Janet M. Taylor on "Keys to Living an Organized Clutter-Free Life" and Theresa Zulick presented "How to Spruce up your Wardrobe for Less".

Arlene Wilson, a FinanciallyHers member since 2008 who has more than 40 hours of participation in the program shared her experiences with the program. The speech detailed her journey through the many workshops and educators she met along the way.  To read Arlene's speech, click here.

Don Haskin from the Citi Foundation, the program's main sponsor, was on hand to present a check to Patty Hasson, President of CLARIFI. We are enormously grateful to Citi Foundation for its ongoing support, and to all of the program sponsors who make FinanciallyHers possible.

All in all, the event was inspiring, educational and a big celebration for the women in the program enjoying their own financial success!  Thank you to all who attended.  Visit us on Facebook to see more pictures of the event.
