Who We Are
Clarifi is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1966 to help individuals identify and secure the most important assets in their lives. We provide lifelong financial literacy that allows individuals and families gain control of their finances, reduce debt and achieve financial goals.
What We Do
We work together with individuals to help them see it like it is and guide them to organize their financial prioritires in a logical and realistic way. We help people clarify their budget, debt, credit report and mortgage.
Who We Serve
Clarifi exists to help everyone in the Delaware Valley. We assist clients in clarifying, understanding and gaining control of their personal finances. Clarifi serves community members who are faced with overwhelming debt, overextension of credit, poor credit history or bankruptcy. Clarifi also offers counseling to people who are experiencing health-related emergencies and major life changes, as well as those who are facing a reduction in income.
Additinally, Clarifi offers guidance to those who may just want a financial check-up. We also counsel first-time homeowners, and extends our services to people of all income levels.
Offices
The organization is based in Center City Philadelphia and has 13 locations throughout the Delaware Valley, including Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester counties. In New Jersey, Clarifi has offices in Camden and Salem counties.
Our Services
Clarifi offers a wide range of financial services to individuals, including:
- Individual counseling sessions, both in-person and on the phone, in the areas of budget and credit, debt management, credit report and pre-filing bankruptcy
- Individual housing counseling for pre-purchase and post-purchase, reverse mortgage, and delinquency counseling
- A variety of educational programs on topics such as money management, credit, home ownership and smart saving
- A financial education program geared toward making women become more knowledgeable and educated in order to make smarter financial choices
- Programs geared towards specific groups including senior citizens and students
Counseling is offered in a variety of languages, including English, Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Our Staff
Clarifi currently has 62 employees. An educational staff and program staff help educate community members throughout the Delaware Valley by holding on and off-site workshops, presentations and community events.
