Clarifi Holds 'Non-Shopping' Holiday Event

December 5, 2012

Purses were placed under the chairs of attendees as they agreed to focus on saving instead of spending during Clarifi’s recent Women on the Move: A Non-shopping Holiday Event.

“Let’s make this a holiday season where we don’t have the holiday debt hangover come January or February,” announced opening speaker Tracy Davidson, Anchor and Consumer Reporter for NBC10.

Guest speaker Michelle Kerr-Spry, a Financial Literacy Instructor, kept the audience laughing as she presented ways to save on holiday meals, while TrendHungry.com Fashion Blogger Jessie Holeva shared tips on how to look fabulous for the holiday and still have an attractive bottom line.

Clarifi educator Kim Cooper also took the stage and encouraged attendees to understand their relationship with money, so they could make better financial decisions in the New Year.

“The event was very informative … and I learned a lot of new things,” says Elizabeth “The Queen” Norman, who also won a purse during one of the event raffles.

Clarifi wishes to thank Citibank for their continued support of FinanciallyHers initiatives and Career Wardrobe for donating coupons to event attendees.
