The Harold O. Davs Memorial Baptist Church operates a "super cupboard." It incorporates the provision of emergency food relief with a curriculum of classes in basic living skills. The Super Cupboard runs as a weekly series of four-hour classes over an eight week period. Participants receive an intensive nutrition/food preparation lesson aimed at encouraging people to better utilize their limited resources. In the four-hour session, clients also cover topics such as: parenting, job readiness, drug and alcohol abuse, self-identity, and resume writing.
