The Homelessness Prevention Program provides rental assistance to low- and moderate-income persons who are facing eviction because of temporary financial problems beyond their control. Assistance from this program is not available to people on Welfare and/or receiving any other housing assistance. (Welfare recipients have other financial resources available to them.) To make a referral, contact the office in the county where you (or your client) live.
