Carewalk for the Homeless

Several evenings a week, parishioners prepare light meals and hand-deliver them to homeless persons living on neighborhood streets.


OutreachCenter for the Homeless

Several times a week, parishioners prepare and serve a hot sit-down meal to homeless persons and other persons in need in the parish hall. After the meal, staff and volunteers meet with interested persons for common prayer and mutual support.


Family Support Ministries

OSJ parishioners give regular assistance to the single mothers and their children who reside at Rowan Homes in North Philadelphia. This assistance includes a tutoring program that prepares the mothers for the GED examination, and gift-giving at Christmas and on Mother's Day. 


Parishioner Support

OSJ parishioners give financial and other assistance to other parishioners who may find themselves in some unusual, unexpected need in the course of the year. 


Special Projects

OSJ parishioners respond as needed to special requests for assistance due to natural disasters and other unforeseen events.
