Clarifi Senior Vice President, Community Affairs and General Counsel Markita Morris-Louis has been elected Vice Chair of the Affordable Housing Advisory Council of the FHLBank Pittsburgh. The Bank supports the development and preservation of affordable housing throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia.
As an intermediary between global capital markets and local lenders, FHLBank Pittsburgh provides readily available liquidity, as well as affordable housing, community and economic development opportunities to member financial institutions of all sizes in Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The Bank is one of 11 banks in the Federal Home Loan Bank System, which was established by Congress in 1932 and serves as a reliable source of funds for housing, jobs and growth in all economic cycles.
Its membership consists of commercial banks, insurance companies, credit unions and community development financial institutions throughout the region.
Through programs such as First Front Door, which provides down payment and closing cost assistance for qualified first-time homebuyers, to Banking on Business, which helps small businesses meet a member’s lending standards and provides secondary loans, FHLBank Pittsburgh provides tangible economic impact and community dividends in multiple ways.
