A medical professional relies on Clarifi’s education workshops to stay on top of her finances.
Stacey Milan and her husband are busy people. Both fresh out of medical school, they recently purchased their first home and have a new baby. With all they have going on, thinking about their finances and planning for the future had gone to the back burner.
Wanting to become savvier with her money, Stacey attended a series of FinanciallyHers® workshops over a three-week period. Topics included the psychology behind shopping, running your household like a business with smart budgeting and raising money savvy kids.
“I found [the workshops] to be really helpful in getting my financial life on track,” says Stacey. “It’s been great and I plan to share what I learned with my husband.”
Since finishing medical school, the two of them have taken on new financial responsibilities, including student loans and a mortgage.
One FinanciallyHers topic is particularly important to Stacey and her family—life insurance.
“I did a lot of research about life insurance when I was pregnant, but there’s still so much you don’t know,” continues Stacey, whose 4-month-old son sits quietly in the stroller next to her.
Stacey says the workshop she attended brought up many specifics about insurance plans to look into. It’s important to her that her family has the coverage they need.
Stacey knows her medicine, but she relies on Clarifi for help with her financial health.
Clarifi offers a variety of financial education throughout the year with convenient locations and times. Our FinanciallyHers program also offers workshop topics geared specifically towards women. Since 2008, over 2,000 women have participated in the program.
